Ricky Hatton’s assessment on the current activity in the heavyweight division is bang on.

Fight fans have been left dissapointed with the lack of big fights in the heavyweight division with recently Fury vs Usyk breaking down and before that Fury and Joshua.

Speaking to talkSPORT via Gambling Zone he said:

“I love Tyson and he knows it. I know he wants the AJ fight, but I can’t help but think he’s going the wrong way about it, he’s calling out everybody.

“The fact that he’s called out AJ again, does it matter because he’s calling out everyone?”

“It’s been said so often and linked that many times and I know Tyson is very vocal, but I don’t know what to believe and I’m baffled as it is.”

“Every time, whether it’s Eddie or Frank or AJ or Tyson and they say something that we might get excited about, we’ve been let down and the fact that it’s not happening is getting a bit embarrassing for the sport.”

“(Fury vs Joshua) is the biggest fight in British boxing history and I think I speak for most fans when I say it’s same day different s**t, it’s groundhog day.”
