“If he’s walking away on Monday, the fight’s off.” That was Eddie Hearn’s message to Tyson Fury over his proposed bout with Anthony Joshua.

For what feels like an eternity, boxing fans in the United Kingdom, and across the world, have been waiting to see Fury and Joshua go toe-to-toe in the ring.

For some time it felt like an inevitability, with both fighters occupying all the belts and seemingly being on a collision course for an all-English undisputed fight.

However, things haven’t quite panned out as planned, with Anthony Joshua having been dethroned at the top of the heavyweight division by Oleksandr Usyk.

Still, Tyson Fury has offered Joshua the opportunity to step into the ring with him and fight this coming December – but only if the contracts are signed by Monday.

That doesn’t appear to be plausible, at least not from Eddie Hearn’s perspective. He has told Fury, in no uncertain terms, that the deadline is not doable.

Hearn, during an interview with ‘SecondsOut’ warned Fury and his team that if they were to stick to Monday’s deadline then the fight is not going to happen…
