Tommy Fury out of fight against Jake Paul for a second time

Once again, English professional boxer Tommy Fury is out of a scheduled fight against YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul, multiple outlets reported on Wednesday.

Fury and Paul were scheduled to square off on August 6 at Madison Square Garden, but questions as to whether the matchup would happen began to come into question after Fury was denied access into the United States for unspecified reasons. Fury then reportedly didn't contact Paul or his promotional team, MVP, which then led to Paul "serving him a termination letter" and finding a new opponent for the bout.

"Fury's received a termination notice," Paul said on social media. "MVP did everything it could [to] help him and his team. He wasn't interested and he literally went into hiding."

Fury responded by saying on social media on Wednesday that he is willing to fight Paul "in a neutral country that both parties can enter." Exact details as to why Fury can't enter the U.S. have not been released to the public.

Paul and Fury were originally supposed to fight in December 2021, but the event was canceled because Fury had a broken rib and a chest infection.
