It is well-known that Dana White and Mike Tyson have a strong friendship.

The two have shared stories and trips countless times over the years. Now, though, as Tyson prepares to return to the ring, White isn’t so sure he likes what might happen.

Tyson will take on Jake Paul live on Netflix on July 20. The bout will headline an event from AT&T Stadium just outside of Dallas.

“He gets mad when I do t his, but Mike’s 60,” White said (thanks to MMA Junkie for the quotes). “I don’t know, what do you guys think about it? Who gives a (expletive) what I think? It’s not my fight.”

Tyson owns a career record of 50-6 with 44 knockouts and is a former heavyweight champion. However, he will turn 58 by fight night and has not scored a win since 2003.

His last official appearance inside the boxing ring came in 2005 when Kevin McBride finished him in the sixth.

Dana White: Mike Tyson ‘One Of My Favorite Athletes Of All Time’

White cares for Tyson and has acknowledged his past resume as one of the best to ever do it.

But it isn’t sold on the idea of a person 30 years younger challenging him to a match.

“I love MIke personally as a friend,” White said. “He’s one of my favorite athletes of all time. I don’t know.

“Let’s see what he can go in there and put together a training camp and come in. I don’t like to see guys fighting (at his age).”

White did chime in on the idea of Netflix airing live events, saying “they have to be involved” moving forward and “should have gotten into live sports years ago.”
