USC basketball picked up a nice win over the weekend on the road against UCLA basketball. The Bruins had beaten the Trojans at USC earlier in the season, and not many people expected the Trojans to get a win this time around. They needed that win badly, and they got it. That doesn’t change how disappointing this season has been, but it is still a good win and something that is worth celebrating.

Saturday’s game was controlled by USC basketball from start to finish. UCLA erased a big deficit at one point, but the Trojans grew their lead again quickly, and they went on to win 62-56. That one felt good for Trojans head coach Andy Enfield.

“We’ve got the Washington schools next,” Andy Enfield said after the game, according to uclabruins.com.” We look forward to taking Sunday off. I’m happy that we beat them here. It has kind of been a flip-flop. Usually it’s the opposite, we win at our place and they win here. We are excited about getting this win. It’s rare to beat the Bruins here in Pauley Pavilion. UCLA is a great team and they are well-coached.”

The Trojans don’t have many games left this season, but they are feeling good after the win. We’ll see if USC can build some momentum as they head toward the Pac-12 Tournament.
