Fifth-year UNC basketball center Armando Bacot has been a machine when it comes to surpassing big-time statistical milestones this season. While some Tar Heel career records appear out of reach, including Tyler Hansbrough's 2,872 points and Brendan Haywood's 304 blocks, the 23-year-old long ago achieved the most rebounds (1,534).

And with one more block, he'll become the first Tar Heel in history to tally at least 2,000 points, 1,500 rebounds, 200 blocks, and 100 steals. That's a testament to Bacot's reliability and prowess over the years in the paint and on both ends of the floor.

He recorded his 100th career steal in Saturday's 75-68 road win over unranked Florida State (side note: he needs five more assists to hit 200).

Considering he's finished with at least one block in all but one outing this season, chances are the Virginia native will get that 200th swat when the No. 3 Tar Heels face unranked Georgia Tech (9-11, 2-7 ACC) in Atlanta at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday (ESPN).

Among all UNC talents in history, Bacot ranks No. 4 in both points (2,081) and blocks (199), needing 64 more of the former and 46 more of the latter to tie No. 3 in both categories, Sam Perkins (2,145 points and 245 blocks).

Meanwhile, he's fresh off creating UNC's 1,000-defensive-rebound club (now at 1,001).

Against Georgia Tech, Armando Bacot will break a tie with Deon Thompson at No. 2 in career games as a Tar Heel. It'll be his 153rd outing, two shy of the UNC basketball record (155) that Leaky Black set across his recent five college seasons.
