Bruce Pearl has quite the team on the plains this year. At 25-7, Auburn is now the favorite to win the SEC Tournament. It can’t be said enough how dominant Auburn has been in their wins this year. The Tigers are now ranked 4th in KenPom and the only team in the nation in the top ten in both offense and defense.
Johni Broome led the way with 18 points shooting 40% from three. His outside shooting has gone from an experiment to one of Auburn’s greatest weapons. Aden Holloway and Chaney Johnson also stood out in what was a great lopsided team win.
With Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky all losing Auburn is the highest remaining seed. Two more wins would crown this team and build momentum going into the big dance. It’s a great time to be an Auburn Tiger.
Auburn fans were quite creative this week in their meme blasting of the losing team. There was one pregame quote by an opposing player that inspired passion and was certainly a prevailing theme.
