Auburn hosts Alabama tonight inside of Neville Arena and the anticipation has students excited.

Going by the extremely long line of students and their tents outside the arena, it's going to be a raucous environment. Here's a video that takes a look at what it's like before tonight's game just outside the arena, with some students giving their predictions as well:

The Tigers certainly want revenge after the Crimson Tide won 79-75 in the first matchup. Here are a few of the key statistics from that Jan. 24 game:

  • For tonight's contest, Auburn needs to shoot the basketball better. The first game had the Tigers knocking down 5 of 25 shots from behind the 3-point arc.
  • Alabama won the 3-point battle hitting 11 triples.
  • Off the bench, Bama’s Rylan Griffin hit 5 of those 3-point shots.
  • Aside From Johni Broome, Auburn’s starters hit 7 of 25 shots overall.
  • Despite the loss at Bama, Auburn turned the ball over just 11 times to the Tide's 14.
  • Auburn players blocked 10 Alabama shots, led by Broome with 5.

For this evening's game, Auburn needs to shoot the basketball better, obviously. That should be a lot easier with the Auburn student section cheering on their Tigers.

Here are three photos from outside the arena today, including this first student who's been in line since 12:45 on Tuesday to give him the first spot in line:
