Caleb Love is one of the most talented and talked about transfer portal players. He announced his decision yesterday and it’s a big one.

Love has had quite the NCAA Basketball journey. As a vital part of the championship-run team at UNC, Love will forever be remembered in Chapel Hill for the shot that knocked Duke out of the tournament and finalized the end of the Mike Krzyzewski coaching career. Along with the other players from that team, Love made news by returning to UNC to “run it back.” The Tar Heels began the season as the preseason number-one ranked team.

The Tar Heels failed to make the NCAA tournament.

There were a number of reasons for the disappointment in Chapel Hill, but many pointed to how Love played and his lack of reaching expectations last season. When the season ended, he announced he was entering the transfer portal. He would eventually commit to the University of Michigan. Due to credit transfer issues, Love re-entered the transfer portal on May 17th.

Yesterday, he made his official announcement on his social account for the next step in his journey.

Love will now take his talents to Arizona for his final season. There is no question that Love has the talent to play at the next level and carry a team. It was on full display for the Tar Heels remarkable championship run. The question that will surround him for the next level is whether can he be disciplined within the team. Can he find a way to allow better shot selection while playing within the team concept?

We will find out next season as he makes his debut for the Wildcats. One interesting note was pointed out by Brandon Marks on his social account.
