Love continues to do big things.

Former North Carolina and current Arizona guard Caleb Love hit a milestone on Saturday. He has been a volume scorer at both schools and has Arizona in position to be one of the top seeds in the upcoming NCAA tournament. Love is also one of the favorites for the PAC-12 player of the year honor.

A New Milestone

In Arizona’s win over Washington, Love scored his 2,000th point. 1,476 of those came with the Tar Heels, and now, he has 524 with the Wildcats. Love is doing it efficiently as well, shooting 43.2% this season. Arizona sits at 21-6 and is primed for a top-two seed in the tournament. He is their leading scorer and third on the team in assists (.4 behind first).

Showing Love to UNC

In an interview after the game, he was asked how it felt to get to the 2,000 mark, to which Love responded: “I just give all my glory to God, you know, my support system, I keep my circle tight, and so I give all my glory to God, my teammates, the help of my teammates, even my teammates at North Carolina, I give my thanks to them. They assisted a lot of those, so I’m just grateful that I’m here right now.”

This isn’t the first time that he has shown love to the Tar Heels this season. In November, when Arizona went to Duke and knocked them off, Love had “Tar Heel 4L” written on his shoes, and in the post-game interview, he said, “I’m a Tar Heel for life.”

Now flourishing with Arizona, both he and North Carolina are having good seasons!
