College basketball betting futures: Conference tournament winners

It's March, one of the best months of the year if you're a sports fan. We'll go ahead and make the assumption that you are indeed a sports fan if you're reading this.

As the college basketball regular season winds down, this is a great time to peruse the futures bets offered to you.

Sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel have futures on NCAAB results from conference tournament winners to making the Final 4 to winning it all.

We'll start our focus on some of the notable conference tournaments, with a few set to begin this weekend.

Conference Tournament Winner Odds

For a full list of odds and conferences you can bet on, you'll want to navigate to the sportsbook you use for yourself, but here's a sampling of the available bets you can place.

Some of the more popular conferences do not yet have betting odds available, such as the Big Ten, Big East, Big 12 and Pac 12. Those tournaments kick off next week, so be sure to come back at the beginning of next week for the betting odds for these notable tournaments.

ACC Tournament Winner

Duke (-125) is the favorite to win the ACC tournament, having gone 16-3 in conference play this season, ranked fourth in the nation.

Next three:

  • North Carolina (+850)
  • Wake Forest (+850)
  • Notre Dame (+850)

It's not a bad idea to consider one of these alternative seeds in conference tournaments, where randomness can rule the day.

Virginia (+1800) beat Duke earlier this season, as did Miami (+1000).

Mountain West Tournament Winner

San Diego State (+310) and Colorado State (+310) are the favorites to win the Mountain West and the automatic bid to the tournament it brings.

Colorado State went 13-4 in conference play, while San Diego State went 11-4.

Boise State (+320) has the best conference record this season, offering some value at these odds.

Noted college basketball statistician Ken Pomeroy has San Diego State as his 21st best team in the country, followed by Boise State (27th) and Colorado State (32nd).

Atlantic 10 Tournament Winner

The A10 is typically one of the more entertaining tournaments to watch, with teams that win the conference known to make noise in the March Madness tournament.

Davidson (+330 FanDuel) is the favorite to win the tournament. The Wildcats have a 15-2 conference record this season and are 25-4 on the season.

Next three:

  • Dayton (+360)
  • VCU (+380)
  • St. Bonaventure (+550)

This is the type of tournament that seems to offer some great betting value, with no clear favorite.

KenPom favors Davidson, but they and Dayton are right next to each other at 45th and 46th in his rankings.

VCU and Saint Louis (+600) are next on the list, at 61st and 62nd.

Ohio Valley Tournament Winner

Murray State (-190) is the clear favorite to win the Ohio Valley conference, and at 28-2 on the season and ranked 22nd nationally, it may be one to consider despite the poor odds.

The next closest team is Belmont, at +250 to win the OVC.
