Duke men's basketball postpones two games due to COVID
Add the Duke Blue Devils to the list of programs to be impacted by the recent Omicron outbreak. The men's basketball team will postpone its next two schedule games because of a COVID surge in the locker room.
As ESPN reminds us, the ACC recently revamped its rescheduling policies in light of the recent COVID outbreaks, allowing games to be easily postponed if a team doesn't have at least seven players and one coach available. If a reschedule date can't be determined, the game will be ruled a no contest.
Duke hasn't played since Dec. 22 when the Blue Devils defeated Virginia Tech 76-65 for their fourth win in a row. Ranked No. 2 in last week's AP poll, Duke has been dominant so far this season with its sole loss on the year taking place on Nov. 30 in a neck-and-neck battle with Ohio State that ended in a 71-66 loss to the Buckeyes.
The Blue Devils' next scheduled game will be Jan. 4 against Georgia Tech.
