The Florida Gators staged an awesome moment on Saturday when Keontae Johnson got an emotional sendoff on Senior Day.

Johnson collapsed during a game in December 2020 and has not been medically cleared to play again. Johnson has remained around the team regardless, as was the case Saturday.

However, Johnson took part in a Senior Day surprise. He actually dressed with the team and was given a ceremonial start before being substituted immediately.

Johnson got an ovation from the crowd and members of both teams, including from Kentucky coach John Calipari.

The SEC preseason player of the year in 2020, Johnson is still hoping to play in the NBA and is seeking medical clearance to work out for teams prior to the draft.
