New Mexico Lobos guard Jaelen House helped lead his team to a 68-61 victory against the San Diego State Aztecs to secure a Mount West Championship title.

The Lobos (26-9) have also clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament with this win.

This marks the school’s first Mount West title since 2014.

House finished with a game-high 28 points and came up clutch down the stretch for New Mexico. He averaged 23 points through four Mount West tournament games played.

The 22-year-old made it clear that the team has its eyes set on making a run in the NCAA Tournament.

House spent his first two seasons at Arizona State before transferring to New Mexico and immediately earning a significant role. He has averaged over 16 points and two steals per game over the last three seasons with the Lobos.

The Phoenix native is considered a Shadow Mountain legend. House helped lead the Matadors to four straight 4A State Championships during his time in the valley.

Led by House, New Mexico will look to keep it rolling and make an improbable March Madness run.
