The Golden State Warriors summer league team is sprinkled with Hoosier ties this year.
In last week's NBA Draft, the Warriors picked Trayce Jackson-Davis No. 57 overall, following his first-team All-American senior season at Indiana. And when Jackson-Davis begins his professional career in the Las Vegas NBA summer league, he'll be coached by former Hoosier Will Sheehey, who played at Indiana from 2010-14. Jackson-Davis is listed at 6-foot-9 and 240 pounds, and he's one of 12 rookies on the 14-man roster.
Sheehey is a player development analyst for the Warriors, and he'll be one of 11 assistant coaches for Golden State's summer league team. Jacob Rubin will be the team's head coach after serving as a player development coach during the season.

The Warriors first hired Sheehey as an assistant video coordinator in September of 2021 after a seven-year professional career. Sheehey went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, then played for the New York Knicks summer league team before singing a one-year deal with Buducnost Podgorica in Montenegro.
He played in the NBA D-League for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Los Angeles D-Fenders, and helped the Raptors 905 win the 2017 D-League Championship. Sheehey continued his pro career overseas in Greece, France, Portugal and Germany before retiring.
Sheehey played four seasons at Indiana, and he played an integral role in the program's resurgence under coach Tom Crean. The 6-foot-7 guard/forward made 50 starts and played 130 total games as a Hoosier.
He was named Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year in 2012-13, averaging 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds as Indiana won the Big Ten and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
As a senior in 2013-14, Sheehey had his most productive statistical season, scoring 11.4 points with 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals per game. Across his Indiana career, he shot 48.6 percent overall, 34.3 percent on 3-point attempts and 67.6 percent from the free throw line.
