The London Lions have clinched a EuroCup playoff birth, thanks in large part to a pair of former Wisconsin Badgers basketball standouts.

After a dominating regular season that saw the Lions go 22-3 in regular season play, former Wisconsin Badgers stars Sam Dekker and Jordan Taylor will have the chance to compete for a EuroCup championship.

Dekker, the reigning MoltenSports BBL Player of the Year (AKA the MVP), missed a large portion of the season, appearing in just seven games after recovering from an ankle surgery.

Former Wisconsin Basketball Stars to Compete for EuroCup Championship

Former Wisconsin basketball star forward Sam Dekker earned a contract extension with the London Lions after his breakout MVP season.

Dekker has averaged 12.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in just over 19 minutes per game in seven games. While he was a member of the Wisconsin Badgers, the former five-star recruit from Sheboygan was named second-team All-Big Ten twice.

Although they never played together in college, his teammate Jordan Taylor was a Wisconsin basketball legend in his own right. Taylor was a two-time first-team All-Big Ten honoree and was also named a second-team All-American in 2011. Taylor is averaging 7.7 points with the Lions, a team-high 5.0 assists, and 2.5 rebounds.

Best of luck to the Wisconsin Badgers basketball alums in their pursuit of a EuroCup Championship.
