The ACC released their awards for the 2023-24 men's basketball season on Monday afternoon with no Seminoles represented on any of the All-ACC teams or awards. Jamir Watkins was the closest, being an honorable mention with 47 votes, 15 behind Virginia Tech's Sean Pedulla for the final spot on the All-ACC Third Team.

It's a little ridiculous that Watkins wasn't on any of the teams, as he was the only player in the ACC to average at least 15 points per game, 5.5 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 1.5 APG. There were only 18 players in the country and just four across all of the major conferences to average numbers like that. He also wasn't on the All-Defensive team and didn't get any votes for ACC Defensive Player of the Year, which went to Virginia's Reece Beekman.

I think it's safe to say that if any of the North Carolina schools had someone lead their team in points, rebounds, assists, and steals, they'd be on the teams somewhere. I personally would've had him second-team All-ACC, but the ACC didn't give me a vote this year.

The only other player to receive any voting was Primo Spears in the Sixth Man of the Year voting, finishing 6th with four votes. I was slightly surprised to see him receive some votes, Pitt's Ishmael Leggett was the clear favorite for me.

Florida State will tip off the ACC Tournament on Wednesday against Virginia Tech at noon, maybe Watkins will want to prove something against Pedulla, who got that last All-ACC spot over him.
