On Tuesday, Former West Virginia guard Gary Browne re-signed with the South East Melbourne Phoenix. 

Browne averaged 11.8 points and an NBL-leading 6.5 assists per game in his first season in the National Basketball League, including a season-high 20 points in the playoffs. 

During Browne's eight-year professional career, he's played in five different leagues spanning across five different countries (Israel, Puerto Rico, Italy, Turkey, and Australia). Since 2019, Browne is averaging 12.9 points and 5.5 assists per game. 

Browne harnessed his defensive prowess during his time at West Virginia University (2011-15) and was an intricate part of the emergence of Press Virginia. He averaged just over a steal per game during his Mountaineer career. As a senior, he averaged 7.0 points and 1.4 assists per game and helped guide WVU to a trip to the Sweet 16.
