Grand Canyon University is hosting the 2024 State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships on Thursday, April 4 at 6 p.m. MST. Lopes’ senior and former Basha Bears forward Gabe McGlothan is set to participate in the Slam Dunk Competition.

GCU secured its first-ever Division 1 NCAA Tournament win against Saint Mary’s last month. The Lopes are also coming off their third WAC Championship title in the last four seasons.

McGlothan now has a final opportunity to represent his school.

The Arizona native is coming off arguably his best overall season where he averaged 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game on 48/40/77 shooting splits.

Representing the entire state, McGlothan will attempt to put on a show as he’s continuously done throughout his Lopes career.

GCU and the Havocs will bring that energy as he competes against some of the highest flyers in college basketball.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
