The frontcourt tandem for the Gonzaga Bulldogs was tabbed to the NABC All-District 9 teams on Tuesday, as Graham Ike was on the first team and Anton Watson was honored on the second team.
Ike paced the Zags with 16.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He shot 61.1% from the field and knocked down a team-high 100 free throws (100 of 129). The Wyoming transfer scored 20 or more points in 16 games this season, the most in the WCC, and had a seven-game streak of 20 points to end the regular season, the longest such streak since Adam Morrison in the 2005-06 season.
Ike's run in West Coast Conference play was historic. He became the sixth player in league history to pace in points (18.4) and field goal percentage (64.0%) in WCC games only in the same season and was just the second player since the 1980-81 season to pull off that feat.
Watson led the WCC in steals at 1.7 per game on top of putting up a career-best 14.4 points and 7.1 rebounds. The Spokane native shot 57.7% from the field and 40.4% from downtown.
San Francisco's Jonathan Mogbo, who won the WCC Newcomer of the Year award, joined Ike on the District 9 first team. The 6-foot-8 Missouri State transfer averaged 14.4 points and a league-high 10.2 rebounds per game for the third-place Dons. Mogbo also topped the league at 64.6% shooting from the field.
Saint Mary's guards Aidan Mahaney and WCC Player of the Year recipient Augustus Marciulionis were on the second team along with Santa Clara's Adama Bal and San Francisco's Marcus Williams.
Gaels head coach Randy Bennett was the NABC District 9 Coach of the Year for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
