LeBron James‘ first son Bronny James made headlines as soon as he declared for the 2024 NBA draft. Many members of the NBA world have been pouring their opinions on the topic almost every day. To add to these takes, an anonymous NBA general manager has shared his thoughts on Bronny’s decision.

Bronny James announced his NBA draft after playing in college for only one year, raising criticism for the young athlete. The anonymous GM’s opinion is similar as he believes Bronny should stay in college. the NBA General Manager said.

He should go back to school to develop at his own pace or he risks getting lost in the shuffle, whether or not he’s playing with his dad. The NBA General Manager said

According to the GM, Bronny is yet not ready to play in the professional league even if he gets the opportunity to play alongside his legendary dad LeBron James. James has previously expressed his desire to play with his son in the NBA. With Bronny entering the draft the chances of the duo teaming up have raised tremendously.

During his freshman year in the USC Trojans, Bronny’s performance was arguably below average as he scored 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. The athlete’s underwhelming stats have become one of the main reasons for the lack of support for his draft. Hence, Bronny has also remained eligible for college by entering a transfer portal in case he fails to get drafted.

LeBron James shows support to son Bronny James’ decision

Ever since Bronny announced for draft, it was suspected that the reason behind the college athlete’s early draft was his dad. Fans were quick to think that Bronny entering the draft early was James’ idea to fulfill his desire.

However, it seems like the decision was entirely Bronny’s choice as James finally spoke about the situation. James expressed that he and his family will support Bronny in any decision he makes about his future.

Bronny's his own man. He's going to make his own decision and as a family, we are going to support any decision he decides to make. Doesn't matter which way he goes. We look forward to his journey and whatever he decides to do. LeBron James said speaking to the reporters

Bronny is most likely to get drafted by the Lakers as per FanDuel Sportsbook as the odds are at +400. The New York Knicks are right after the Lakers with +800 odds. Seeing the father-son duo play together will undoubtedly be a treat for James’ fans, but only time will tell if the Lakers decide to make that happen.
