Houston forward JoJo Tugler will have season-ending surgery on his foot this week, Cougars coach Kelvin Sampson said Monday.

Tugler has a stress fracture in his right foot. He missed top-ranked Houston's victory at Oklahoma on Saturday and will undergo surgery on Thursday, Sampson said.

The 6-foot-8 freshman was averaging 3.8 points and 4.1 assists in 28 games (one start) this season in 16.0 minutes per game.

It's the latest injury to strike the Cougars, who are playing without Terrance Arceneaux (Achilles tear) and Ramon Walker Jr. (knee).

Houston (26-3, 13-3 Big 12) finishes the regular season this week with games at UCF on Wednesday and at home on Saturday against No. 14 Kansas.
