The transfer portal is a big part of college athletics nowadays but it WVU saw arguably the most action with it this offseason due to the late coaching change. A total of eight players left the program over the summer. Here's how they did in their first game with their new school.

James Okonkwo (North Carolina)

Okonkwo grabbed one rebound in one minute of action in Carolina's 86-70 win over Radford.

Tre Mitchell (Kentucky)

Mitchell got the start and notched nine points, nine rebounds, five assists, and one steal in Kentucky's 86-46 win over New Mexico State. He went 3/8 from the field and 0/3 from three.

Mohamed Wague (Alabama)

Wague saw 10 minutes of action off the bench in the Tide's 105-73 win over Morehead State. He totaled four points (1/2 FG), two rebounds, one assist, and one block.

Josiah Davis (Tennessee Tech)

Davis was the only player to reach double figures for the Golden Eagles in their 80-42 loss to Tennessee. He recorded 13 points on 5/14 shooting (1/2 3FG) while also picking up three rebounds and a steal.

Joe Toussaint (Texas Tech)

Toussaint was in the starting lineup for the Red Raiders in their 73-46 win over Texas A&M Commerce and finished with 10 points, three rebounds, and an assist. He shot 4/8 from the field.

Jamel King (Kennesaw State)

King got the start in the blowout win over Oakwood, going for 13 points on 5/11 shooting, including 3/5 from deep. He also chipped in three rebounds, one assist, and a steal.

Jimmy Bell (Mississippi State)

Bell was extremely efficient in the 71-56 win over Arizona State going 5/6 from the field. He finished the night with 13 points, nine rebounds, and one assist.

Jose Perez (Arizona State)

Perez was on the wrong end of the matchup of WVU transfers and didn't have a great night himself. He was in the starting lineup but managed to only score five points, all of which came from the free throw line. Perez also had four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
