The Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders met in basketball for potentially the final time on Tuesday night in Lubbock. The rivalry has been one of the biggest in the Big 12 over the years, but things went a bit too far on Tuesday night before Texas finished with a convincing 81-69 win.

After Texas forward Brock Cunningham body-bumped Texas Tech forward Darrion Williams on a hard foul, tensions flared between the two teams. As officials were reviewing the play, Red Raiders fans started tossing debris on the floor, including what appeared to be some full water bottles on the ESPN broadcast.

Cunningham was assessed a flagrant 2 for the foul, which is an automatic ejection. But before the officials came to a decision, Texas Tech coach Grant McCasland had to get on the mic and tell the fans at United Supermarkets Arena to stop throwing things.

Texas Tech was assessed a technical foul as a team due to the actions of the fans.

"Listen to me, it's gotta stop. It's gotta stop," McCasland said. "Nothing else on the floor. Am I clear?"

The ESPN broadcast even showed a fan getting carried out by a few officers, causing the Texas Tech student section to get even more rowdy.

Cunningham finished with nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.

The Longhorns will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Austin on Saturday.
