Paul Mulcahy contributed 11 points, three steals and tied his career high of 13 assists, and Franck Kepnang had 10 points and eight rebounds for Washington.

Wood missed a corner 3-pointer with two seconds left that could have forced a second overtime.

Brooks' basket gave the Huskies a 95-92 lead with 2:14 left in the extra session. LeDee later made two free throws to pull the Aztecs within 97-96 with 1:13 left, and his inside hoop put San Diego State back ahead with 36.9 seconds left.

Butler stole the ball from Brooks with 14 seconds left, and Waters knocked down two free throws with 9.5 seconds left to make it a three-point margin.

Washington trailed by seven with under a minute remaining in regulation before rallying. Wheeler and Mulcahy scored baskets and Wheeler later converted a layup with 6.1 seconds left to make it a one-point deficit.

Washington then forced a tie-up with 4.4 seconds left and the possession arrow was in its favor. Mulcahy drove to the hoop and was fouled by LeDee and split two free throws to tie it at 85 with one second left.
