If Nebraska Cornhusker fans were looking for a pick-me-up, they certainly got it on Friday night from Keisei Tominaga and the Nebraska basketball team.

Tominaga has become a Nebraska legend for his play over the past three seasons. His shot-making ability is incredible and it was on full display on Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

Indiana started strong and led Nebraska 15-13. Then, Brice Williams, who had the hot hand early, connected on his third trey of the first half. That was right after Jamarques Lawrence made one to give Nebraska a 16-15 lead. The Huskers didn’t trail again.

Nebraska basketball star Keisei Tominaga goes off

In terms of Tominaga, it was classic Keisei. He was so spectacular that even the Big Ten Network studio analysts could barely believe it at half. Tominaga made a trio of step-back shots. Keisei was 4-for-5 from deep in addition to making 7-of-10 shots total on his way to 18 first-half points.

Nebraska made 11 3-pointers in the first half. Williams and Tominaga each had four, while Lawrence, CJ Wilcher, and Juwan Gary were also good from deep.

However, Keisei Tominaga is the man who stole the show. It got heated up with this step-back 2-pointer from the corner, which was his second make from there in the first half.

This next triple by Keisei was one of his easier makes in the first half.

Outside of that, it was step-back city — something Nebraska basketball fans are used to seeing from Tominaga, who treated the Target Center to some of his best work on Friday night.

The Nebraska basketball star saved his best shot of the half for right before the buzzer, capping a 17-0 run by the Huskers with another step-back trey to make it 50-27 Nebraska at the break.

Stay tuned for the second half. The game isn’t over and I’m certain Keisei Tominaga isn’t done.
