The departure of John Calipari continues to reverberate through the Kentucky Wildcats’ lineup, with yet another player opting to leave.

Reported by Pete Nakos of On3.com, Zvonimir Ivisic, the Wildcats’ towering center, has decided to enter the transfer portal.

Throughout his 15-game tenure with UK, Ivisic showcased his prowess by averaging 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, boasting an impressive 37.5-percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc.

Standing at a towering 7-foot-2, the Croatian-born center made his way to Lexington last October after a widely publicized and protracted process, causing a delay in his arrival on campus.

However, Ivisic finally made his anticipated debut for the Big Blue Nation in January, making an immediate impact in his first game against Georgia, where he demonstrated his versatility by notching 13 points, five rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and two assists.

Ivisic’s arrival had been eagerly awaited, especially considering his integral role in the Wildcats’ highly touted 2023 recruiting class. There were even murmurs suggesting his potential as an NBA lottery pick, a sentiment that gained traction prior to his late-season debut.

However, with his departure from the Kentucky Wildcats, Ivisic is now poised to seek a new collegiate home, aiming to further hone his skills for the professional arena. While the possibility of him following Coach Calipari to Arkansas remains uncertain, it’s a scenario that cannot be discounted at this juncture.

Joining a growing exodus from Lexington, Ivisic adds his name to a list of departing players, including Adou Theiero, Aaron Bradshaw, and Joey Hart, who have all entered the transfer portal since the end of March.

As of now, their destination choices remain undisclosed, leaving open the question of whether any of them will reunite with Calipari in Fayetteville.
