Look of the Day for Thursday, Feb. 29: Are the Memphis Tigers in trouble?

Nikola Jokic took care of business and went over his assist prop Wednesday night to give us our second Look of the Day winner of the week. We've now hit six of our last eight picks, and we're looking to stay hot with our favorite college basketball pick for Thursday's slate.

Look of the Day: East Carolina Pirates +4 (-110 Bet365)

The Memphis Tigers are a confusing team to figure out. They have the talent to hang with any team in the country, but they can also lose to anyone due to their sloppiness and streaky shooting.

The best time to fade Memphis is when it goes on the road. Penny Hardaway's squad is 4-7 against the spread on the road and 2-4 ATS as a road favorite this season. It's also lost four of its last five road games outright.

The Tigers could be in trouble Thursday night against a methodical East Carolina team. The Pirates rank 326th out of 362 teams in KenPom's adjusted tempo, so they'll be able to slow down and frustrate a Memphis offense that loves to push the pace. East Carolina also has a huge advantage in the turnover battle. ECU ranks 54th in the country in turnovers per game, while Memphis ranks 310th.

If the Pirates can play at their pace, keep the Tigers out of transition and win the turnover battle, they have a good chance to pull off the outright upset.
