Former West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins wants to continue coaching, but it won't be at Louisville or Ohio State.

Multiple sources told Mountaineers now that those two programs are not considering the Hall of Fame coach for their current vacancy. Ohio State is believed to be down to two candidates, one of which is interim head coach Jake Diebler. The other? Florida Atlantic's Dusty May who has been tied to the West Virginia opening dating back to last summer.

May is also rumored to be in the mix at Louisville along with fellow WVU candidates Josh Schertz (Indiana State), Pat Kelsey (Charleston), and Niko Medved (Colorado State) in addition to several others.

Despite false rumors circling social media in recent weeks, Huggins has never truly been tied to either head coach opening which is pretty well known around the basketball community.

Huggins' 935 career wins lead all active NCAA men's coaches. The Morgantown, WV native led his teams to 26 NCAA Tournament berths, including nine appearances in the Sweet Sixteen and two appearances in the NCAA Final Four.

In 16 years as the head coach at the University of Cincinnati (1989-2005), Huggins led the Bearcats to eight Conference USA regular season championships, four Conference USA Tournament championships, was a three-time Conference USA Coach of the Year, and was honored as the Conference USA Coach of the Decade in 2005. On the national level, he was tabbed as the Sporting News National Coach of the Year in 2000 and the ESPN.com National Coach of the Year in 2002.

The Morgantown native accumulated a 345-203 record while at West Virginia with 11 NCAA tournament appearances, including five Sweet Sixteen's and a Final Four.
