Trevon Brazile

Forward | Arkansas

Height: 6'10” | Weight: 215 lbs

2023 Draft Age: 20.46

Prospect Profile

A transfer from Missouri, Brazile made a huge impact on loaded Arkansas team that is filled with future NBA players before tearing his ACL. A great shot blocker, he should be a prospect that always enhances the defense of the team he is playing for. He's also a good rebounder and has the frame to fit the modern NBA perfectly.

Even with the season-ending injury, he should get plenty of opportunity in the 2023 NBA Draft. He’s likely a second-rounder given those circumstances, but well worth the selection in that range.

In the nine games Brazile did play as a sophomore, the 3-point shot looked much improved. Not only did he more than double his volume from his freshman season, but he also converted at a 38% clip. Combine that with the elite athleticism as a vertical spacer that can catch and finish lobs with authority, and it’s easy to see why teams will still keep a close eye on the Arkansas forward despite the injury. With his ability to pop or roll as a screener, he fits what NBA teams are looking for with guard synergy in offensive sets.

As a defensive prospect, he also has a ton of upside. At 6-foot-9 with a long frame, Brazile projects to be a disruptive defender at the next level. He generated 11 blocks and nine steals before going down with the injury and was arguably Arkansas’ biggest contributor on that end of the floor.

Brazile is in a unique situation where he’s shown enough to be drafted, but could also come back and improve his draft stock with another college season. While he will likely be more of a second rounder in the 2023 NBA Draft, a healthy third collegiate season could drive him into first-round conversations for the 2024 NBA Draft. He'll only be 20 at the time of this summer's draft.

While he should declare, it will be interesting to see what feedback he gets from teams in the pre-draft process. Depending on the range he’s hearing, that decision will become much easier.
