Christian Bishop recorded 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots to help No. 7 Texas post a 66-60 victory over No. 22 TCU on Friday night to advance to the Big 12 championship game in Kansas City, Mo.

Dylan Disu added 15 points and eight rebounds for the second-seeded Longhorns (25-8), who never trailed in the semifinal contest. Marcus Carr was just 3-of-15 shooting while contributing 10 points and five steals for Texas, which will face No. 3 Kansas in Saturday's title game.

Mike Miles Jr. scored 15 points and Chuck O'Bannon added 12 for sixth-seeded TCU (21-12). Damion Baugh collected 10 rebounds for the Horned Frogs.

Texas played without forward Timmy Allen (lower leg) for the second straight game. He will also miss the Big 12 title game against the top-seeded Jayhawks.

The Longhorns shot 40.7 percent from the field, including just 2 of 14 from 3-point range. Texas held a 42-22 edge in points in the paint.

TCU made 35.6 percent of its shots and was 8 of 19 from behind the arc.

A layup by Bishop gave Texas a 44-36 with 14:24 remaining. TCU answered with an 8-2 run to move within two before Bishop slammed home a dunk, Disu hit three of four free throws and Bishop made two from the line as the Longhorns took a 53-44 lead with 9:01 left.

More than four-plus minutes later, Miles drained a 3-pointer to pull the Horned Frogs within 60-56 with 4:47 left. But TCU would go nearly four minutes without scoring and was unable to mount a significant charge.

Carr's layup with 2:02 left pushed the Texas lead to six and it grew to 63-56 when Sir'Jabari Rice split two free throws with 58.4 seconds to play.

Miles ended a TCU streak of six straight misses from the field by draining a 3-pointer with 5.8 seconds left to pull the Horned Frogs within 64-60 before the Longhorns closed it out.

Disu scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting as Texas held a 34-26 lead at the break.

The Longhorns received back-to-back baskets in the final minute from Rice to take the half-high eight-point advantage.
