Ohio State forward Jamison Battle has earned a spot on the list of finalists for the Julius Erving Award. It honor celebrates the top small forward in college basketball.

Jamison was the lone Big Ten forward to make the cut. The complete top-10 for the Julius Erving Award includes:

  • Jaylon Tyson, Cal
  • Baylor Scheierman, Creighton
  • Tucker DeVries, Drake
  • Anton Watson, Gonzaga
  • David Jones, Memphis
  • Harrison Ingram, North Carolina
  • Jamison Battle, Ohio State
  • Dalton Knecht, Tennessee
  • Keion Brooks Jr., Washington
  • Dillon Jones, Weber State

Battle ranks second in scoring and rebounding for the Buckeyes this season. He's averaging 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest. 

The senior forward has reached a double-figure scoring total 17 times this season for Ohio State. He's exceeded 20 points four times.

Battle transferred from Minnesota to Ohio State following the 2022-23 season. His best scoring effort of the year came against his former team in December. Battle dropped 25 points on the Golden Gophers in an 84-74 victory.
