Oral Roberts men's basketball asks to be verified on Twitter after upset win over Ohio State

The first massive upset of the NCAA men's basketball tournament occurred on Friday afternoon when the No. 15-seeded Oral Roberts Golden Eagles stunned the Ohio State Buckeyes, No. 2 in the South Region, via a 75-72 overtime win.

Oral Roberts had a simple request after its unexpected victory: A blue checkmark from Twitter:

Oral Roberts took a three-point lead into halftime and never looked overmatched even when Ohio State threatened to pull away in the closing minutes of regulation. The Golden Eagles erased a two-point deficit with 15 seconds remaining and then watched as Ohio State's Duane Washington Jr. missed a deep fadeaway as time expired.

The extra period mostly belonged to the underdogs, who will now go on to play the Florida Gators on Sunday. Florida defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies earlier in the day.

Perhaps Oral Roberts will be verified by the weekend:
