The Purdue Boilermakers on Tuesday night hosted the Louisville Cardinals at Mackey Arena for a showdown in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, one of the more exciting early-season showcases in college basketball.

The Boilermakers walked away with a 66-57 victory over the No. 17-ranked Cardinals, a huge non-conference win. But perhaps the best sight of the night — although obviously not for Louisville supporters — was how Purdue’s student section was peppered with fans sporting shirts adorned with “FBI.”

Boom. Roasted.

Louisville of course one of a handful of teams embroiled in a scandal involving an ongoing FBI investigation into corruption in college basketball. Amid the initial fallout from the investigation was Louisville firing Rick Pitino, who was alleged to have funneled money to a recruit in exchange for commitment to the Cardinals program.

The investigation is ongoing and there is much left to be learned. But rest assured, this will not be the last time Louisville is subjected to taunts and potshots of this nature when the team hits the road in 2017-18.
