Georgia Tech Basketball is undergoing a lot of roster changes this offseason under newly hired head coach Damon Stoudamire.

So far, Georgia Tech has seen four players enter the transfer portal (Rodney Howard, Jordan Meka, Cyril Martynov, and Freds Pauls Bagatskis) and added one player (NC State big man Ebenezer Dowuona) so far this offseason. More players are sure to be on the way for the Yellow Jackets and today, there was some reported interest in LSU transfer Shawn Phillips according to the Portal Report.

Phillips is a 7'0 245 LBS center that played one season in Baton Rouge before entering the transfer portal. He played in 20 games this past season and averaged 7.5 minutes per game. He averaged 1.4 PPG and 2.2 RPG and shot 45.5% from the field.

While he has not played much, Phillips's size would be great for Georgia Tech with the potential of having a strong rebounding and shot-blocking presence and he still has upside as a young player.

Right now, it just sounds like there is interest and a visit has not been scheduled yet. Keep an eye on Phillips and this recruitment.
