Davis continues to do big things.

North Carolina guard RJ Davis is having an unreal season. Already named ACC First-Team and ACC Player of the Year, he is now breaking more records within the program. Davis has led the Tar Heels to wins and is in contention for the National Player of the Year award.

Single-Season Record

Davis has been on fire from three this season. In the ACC championship game, he knocked down four of them. That put him at 106 on the season, making Davis the single-season leader for threes made at UNC. He surpassed the previous record holder, Justin Jackson, who was at 105. Now, with a maximum of six tournament games remaining, he has the chance to stretch that record even further.

ACC Player of the Year

Davis was named the ACC Player of the Year after being left off of the ACC preseason First-and-Second teams. He helped lead North Carolina to the ACC regular season title, and was the leading scorer. Davis is averaging 21.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on the year. Now, he and a number of other players, will wait to see whether they are named the National Player of the Year. When brackets are announced Sunday, the Tar Heels will be either a one or two seed. That is, in large part, due to how good Davis has been this season.

Davis can continue to push the record to heights that may never be reached again.
