Tennessee just finished up their third SEC conference game of the season thus far. They walked away with a huge win over the Georgia Bulldogs after putting together a huge run late to ultimately help them make a comeback on the road. Here are the good, bad, and ugly from the Volunteer's performance on Saturday.

The Good

Dalton Knecht was the best thing about this game. Knecht played one of his best games, if not his best game of the season, totaling 36 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and only one turnover. Knecht shot 12/20 from the field and 5/8 behind the line to get the Tennessee Volunteers rolling. Jonas Aidoo and Tobe Awaka also played huge roles for Tennessee in this game. Aidoo finished with 15 rebounds and five blocks, being a dominant big man for Tennessee all game, while Awaka came in and put up great numbers for the minutes he received. Awaka finished with 6 points and two rebounds in 7 minutes of game time.

The Bad

The bad thing about this game was the runs Tennessee allowed Georgia to go on. Georgia had multiple points, and they looked to be running away with the game due to open shots and missed opportunities from the Volunteers. Offensive rebounds really came in clutch for Tennessee in this matchup, as there were multiple times the Vols had multiple shot opportunities, even off of free throws, due to their great hustle and physicality down low.

The Ugly

The Ugly would be the turnovers. The Volunteers turned the ball over 14 times throughout the course of the game, and the Bulldogs turned the ball over only nine times. This also did not help Tennessee when Georgia was making runs throughout the game. Six of the turnovers came from star guard Zakai Zeigler; however, Zeigler made up for it throughout the game with good defense and passing, as well as having 18 points, making him the 2nd highest scorer for Tennessee. The free throw opportunities allowed were also not great for Tennessee, as they were allowing the Bulldogs to get to the line a lot more than they would have hoped, playing physically during tough points throughout the game. The free throw number (23) may not seem high, but the free throws were coming at the worst points of the game for Tennessee, and that's why it's listed in the ugly.

Tennessee will now take the weekend off along with Monday as they will face one of their biggest rivals in Knoxville. The Florida Gators are on deck and will look to be another bump in the road to this long Tennessee season.
