The SEC is full of talented teams and players this season, which is why the conference is projected to have seven teams make it to the NCAA Tournament. This is second only to the Big 12, which has nine teams projected to make the Field of 68.

Auburn has had an excellent year winning 13 SEC games which has the Tigers as the four seed in the upcoming SEC Tournament.

The reason Auburn has had so much success this season is really thanks to two players: Johni Broome and Jaylin Williams. Broome was named to the All-SEC First Team and the All-Defensive Team. Williams was named to the All-SEC Second Team. Lastly freshman guard Aden Holloway was named to the All-Freshman Team.

The numbers Broome has put up when it comes to points, rebounds, and blocks would have him as the front-runner for the SEC Player of the Year, but Tennessee's Dalton Knecht went ballistic this season, running away with this award.

All of these Auburn players have been really good this season for the Tigers, and if they play well in the postseason, this team can make a deep run in the tournament.

Coach Pearl had this to say about Williams ahead of senior night, "I don't know if I would've anticipated Jaylin being a five-year guy," Pearl said. "And that's from the standpoint of thinking that he could come in and be successful as a freshman — because he was bouncy and could do things inside and out. But his freshman year, he came into a veteran team. It really wasn't until Danjel (Purifoy) or Isaac (Okoro had an injury where he was getting some significant minutes as a freshman. And then you went, 'Uh oh. This guy is going to be really good.'"
