Tom Izzo and the seventh-seeded Michigan State Spartans lived up to their reputation again on Sunday, when they upset second-seeded Marquette to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. The win will send the Spartans to New York for the East regional finals.

Izzo already has plans for when he arrives.

In his post-game interview with CBS, the head coach was asked about star guard Tyson Walker, a New York City native who played a key role in Michigan State’s win. Izzo had a couple of Big Apple demands for Walker.

“I told him two things: you get me there, I want a cab ride and one of them big slices of pizza,” Izzo said. “So that’s what Tyson owes me. He can pay for it with his NIL money.”

Walker, who led the team with 23 points, will presumably be more than happy to pay up on this one.

Michigan State's Sweet 16 matchup with third-seeded Kansas State is scheduled for Thursday. Plenty of time for Izzo to play tourist.
