Hall of Fame former UCLA Bruins center-turned-commentator Bill Walton is a recognizable name on the Pac-12 Network, calling games up and down the coast.

The UCLA alum is known to be a bit controversial, but after USC's recent victory over the Cal Golden Bears, Walton had some negative things to say about the Trojans during the Colorado-Arizona broadcast, of all places:

Walton's comment more or less suggests that USC is a bad team that can only pick up wins against bottom-feeder teams like Cal, which is currently 4-10.

He's not necessarily wrong, as the underwhelming Trojans have been dropping games left and right, currently sitting at 8-7 but with losses against nearly everyone noteworthy that's been on the calendar.

Oregon, Oregon State, Auburn, Gonzaga, and of course, their upset losses to Long Beach State and UC Irvine have clouded a campaign that saw USC being ranked No. 16 entering it.

Coming off of a victory against Stanford on Saturday, however, things may be on the upswing, as the Trojans found their three-point shot (14/25), along with their offense, putting up 93 points.

A questionable defense and the inconsistent play of Boogie Ellis, Isaiah Collier, and Kobe Johnson, however, definitely caps this team's ceiling. They have the talent to make some kind of a run come the postseason/March Madness, but more than likely, Walton's comment will reign true in some way shape or form, as the Trojans lack some of the top-tier talent, consistency, and coaching that the best programs in the country do.
