USC basketball earned themselves a nice 82-75 win over Washington on Saturday. The Trojans win came largely in part because of freshman Isaiah Collier, who starred for USC.

Collier put up an astounding 31 points along with two assists in the win. This was his first thirty-point game and the highest point total of his young collegiate career. His performance even impressed his opponents after the game, including forward Keion Brooks Jr. from Washington

“The whole game he played well, but down the stretch he just put them on his back and single-handedly fought us off from coming back. You have to give him credit. He made a couple of tough ones. When somebody that good gets going early, it’s like throwing a rock in the ocean. Everything feels good to him.”

Collier was great, but it's not a crazy surprise for the five-star freshman. When Collier is on, the Trojans become hard to beat and he elevates his entire team around him.

Outside of Collier, DJ Rodman had 17 points, six rebounds and three assists while Boogie Ellis also added 17 points.

It's no secret that the Trojans have turned things around since Collier from his hand injury that caused him to miss over a month of action this season. Though the Trojans have still lost more games than won in this span, they've competed harder and finished closer in games that they would have lost more easily in January.

With a combined 55 points over the last two games, Collier is key for helping USC finish the season strong.
