After not being selected in Thursday's NBA Draft, USC forward Drew Peterson signed with the Miami Heat, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Peterson signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Heat. Those deals allow a franchise to convert a player (specifically on a non-guaranteed one-year minimum) to a two-way contract, according to sportsbusinessclassroom.com. A player can sign for an Exhibit 10 bonus of up to $50,000. If converted, the two-way contract is guaranteed for that amount.

Peterson scored 13.9 points per game for USC last season shooting 44%. He also averaged 6.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Peterson spent three seasons with the Trojans after transferring from Rice. USC made the NCAA Tournament all three years with Peterson on the roster.

Here's nbascoutinglive.com's scouting report on Peterson:

Peterson is an athletic, energetic point forward that quietly had a solid senior season at USC. He is a versatile playmaker that can knock down shots and finish plays above the rim, and he also will move the basketball. On the other hand, he can sometimes be too streaky with his jump shot. He excelled in his role in college and he is a versatile player that may have the skills to make it in the NBA.

Pros: Decent shooter, adequate scorer off the dribble, excels at scoring on off-ball motion plays, solid playmaker, solid rebounder, decent defender, solid athlete

Cons: Streaky shooter, struggles to score in traffic, struggles to consistently create his own shot, unselfish to a fault, can be undisciplined defensively, needs to add strength
