Watch: Chattanooga earns March Madness berth with overtime buzzer beater

The Chattanooga Mocs are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in six years thanks to a buzzer beating desperation heave in overtime from David Jean-Baptiste.

Chattanooga met Furman in the Southern Conference final Monday after the two teams navigated the tournament bracket as the top two seeds. Furman forced overtime with a three-pointer from Mike Bothwell with just four seconds left in the second half, but Jean-Baptiste saved the day for Chattanooga with a deep three as time expired to give the Mocs a 64-63 win.

Jean-Baptiste, a sixth-year senior, finished with 13 points in the win and earned the Mocs an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament as a conference winner.

Bothwell led all scorers in the game with 24 points and hit a layup with just a handful of seconds left in overtime that gave Furman a two-point lead.
