Fans of the Louisville men's basketball program will once again get to relive former Cardinals glory this summer.

Earlier this week, The Basketball Tournament (TBT) announced that Freedom Hall - along with the Louisville men's basketball alumni team "The Ville" - will serve as one of the eight regional host sites for the 2024 iteration of the event.

"It's great being able to be a part of something that you've been watching for a long time, and able help grow a brand that hit the scene off and running," former Louisville forward Montrezl Harrell said. "I know multiple guys, from teammates to some of my close friends, who have played this tournament over the years. ... To actually go and be a part of it and actually play this year, it's gonna be a lot of fun."

Harrell and former Louisville point guard Peyton Siva are the first two committed players for The Ville's 2024 roster. Siva, Russ Smith, Chane Behanan and Kyle Kuric were among those who headlined the team's first ever run in the TBT last summer, where they made it all the way to the regional championship.

The Ville will host to one of TBT’s eight regional locations, with play taking place at legendary Freedom Hall. Eight teams will compete in the Louisville Regional on July 19-24, with the regional champion taking on the winner of the Lexington Regional in the quarterfinals.

On Thursday, Harrell took time to meet with the media and discuss the alumni team. He talked about making his debut in the TBT, rehabbing his ACL injury, playing in Freedom Hall, reuniting with former Louisville teammates, and more
