Watch: No. 1 Houston defeats Oklahoma on buzzer-beater, surviving scare

Jamal Shead has a knack for hitting big shots, and he showed it off again on Saturday, helping No. 1 Houston survive a scare against unranked Oklahoma.

Late in the fourth quarter, with Houston and Oklahoma knotted up at 85-85, Shead hit a fade-away jumper with 0.1 left to win it for the Cougars.

Houston led by 15 midway through the second half, but Oklahoma crawled back into things late. Ultimately, the Sooners tied the game with 11 seconds left on a Javian McCollum layup

However, Shead put away thoughts of an upset on the following possession, helping Houston move to 26-3 and 13-3 in the Big 12 Conference.

Following Saturday's exciting victory, Houston can clinch a share of the Big 12 title with a win over UCF on Wednesday.
