Miami outscored Notre Dame 16-0 in fast break points and held the Irish to 28.6% shooting. Norchad Omier recorded another double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Matthew Cleveland was the 'Canes leading scorer with 14 points, to go with five rebounds and four steals. Nijel Pack added 13 points and seven assists. For Notre Dame, Tae Davis had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. J.R. Konieczny added 14 points.
