Trey Galloway left Sunday's game at the 12:54 mark of the first half with an apparent left knee injury and didn't return. Scheduled to give a Senior Day speech postgame, it would have been an unfortunate way to end his final game at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, despite Indiana's 65-64 win over Michigan State.

"I don't know what his status is right now," Indiana coach Mike Woodson said postgame. "He's being evaluated, so we'll have a better feel of where he is tomorrow.

However, Galloway ultimately used his speech to announce his return to Indiana for the 2024-25 season. This is his senior year, but he has a bonus fifth year of eligibility due to COVID.

"These last four years have been the best time of my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything," Galloway said. "But I don't think it's quite time for me to –."

The Assembly Hall crowd knew what was next and erupted in cheers for Galloway, who's averaging a career-high 10.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this year.

"So I'll be coming back next to play in front of the best fans in the country, best place in Assembly Hall and the best coach in the country," Galloway said.
