The TCU men’s basketball team officially scheduled a home-and-home series with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish ahead of the 2025-26 season.

TCU will host Notre Dame for the first matchup this year on Dec. 5 in Fort Worth before the two teams battle in South Bend on the same date in 2026.

Notre Dame has taken on the Horned Frogs just five times, winning all five matchups. The last time these two teams faced was in 1997, per SBNation.

Head coach Jamie Dixon enters his 10th season leading TCU and has guided the program to four NCAA Tournament appearances and six 20-win seasons. His overall record with the Horned Frogs is 176-126.

Notre Dame has struggled in its first two campaigns under Micah Shrewsberry, finishing 13-20 in 2023-24, before going 15-18 last season.

In 2024-25, TCU went 16-16, placing ninth in the Big 12 Conference. The team struggled offensively with just three players averaging double digits. Guard Noah Reynolds paced the Horned Frogs with 12.5 points per game.

Despite the team’s tough season, Fighting Irish guard Markus Burton solidified himself as one of the top scorers in the country. He averaged 21.3 points per game, which was the fifth-most in the NCAA.
