At this point in time, Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark and Purdue Boilermakers big man Zach Edey are two of college basketball’s biggest names. But after a photo of the two standing next to each other surface, people are astonished with how tall the latter is over the former.

Just recently, both Edey and Clark reached the NCAA Tournament after going through so much March Madness action. The former, in particular, saw the Purdue star go up against the UConn Huskies in the men’s basketball championship round. While Edey went off for 37 points and 10 rebounds, the Boilermakers still fell to their opponents with a score of 75-60.

Similar to Edey, Clark’s Hawkeyes also reached the NCAA Finals to face the South Carolina Gamecocks. Unlike the Purdue big man, though, the Iowa star didn’t shoot efficiently from the field and she had no help from the reserve unit, In the end, Clark’s 30 points weren’t enough to lift the Hawkeyes past South Carolina in the championship round.

Both players are expected to go pro in the coming months. Clark, in particular, has been projected as the top pick in the WNBA Draft, while Edey is expected to be a late first round or early second round pick.

During the Wooden Awards, both Edey and Clark had a photo taken together, highlighting the height difference between the two. In a picture posted by Iowa Women’s Basketball on X:

As expected, social media pointed out how massive the Boilermakers star was as he is seen standing next to Clark.

“And she’s even 6 foot tall,” Kathy Barnum tweeted.

“Holy smokes Edey is one large human,” Brad Belstock said.

“Now that’s BIG!” Timmck41 posted.

Both Edey and Clark won the outstanding college basketball players in their respective categories this year. The Purdue star, in particular, is only the second player to win the Wooden Award twice after Ralph Sampson.

With both players going pro, there’s bound to be more of Edey and Clark in the future. After making themselves known in college basketball, these stars are ready to build their careers as professional ballers.
