Peacock to spotlight Iowa star Caitlin Clark's scoring title chase

Caitlin Clark is so close to history.

The Iowa Hawkeyes superstar sits at 3,520 career points. With just eight points, she'll make college basketball history.

Once she hits 3,528 or better, she'll hold the NCAA women's all-time scoring record, breaking Kelsey Plum's mark of 3,527.

Clark is expected to break that mark on Thursday as her Hawkeyes take on the Michigan Wolverines at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. It's going to be a big deal, and as such, Peacock announced on Tuesday that there will be an alternate feed called the "Caitlin Cast," which will focus entirely on Clark.

"Peacock will present a special alternate feed, 'Caitlin Cast presented by State Farm,' for Thursday’s Michigan-Iowa game, capturing Clark’s every move as she looks to break the scoring record," the press release stated.

While Clark is almost certain to break the record (she's averaging 32.1 points per game), Iowa will absolutely find itself in a fight against Michigan.

Iowa, ranked No. 4, is 22-3. Michigan is unranked but has beaten No. 17 Ohio State this season, so the Wolverines should be game to spoil Clark's night.
